Where to play volleyball in Pai: find a court, join a game
Free social volleyball at Oasis Tiki Bar in Pai, Saturdays and Sundays 4–6pm when enough players attend. Find court contacts, game details and other volleyball leads.

Come to Oasis Tiki Bar for free social volleyball on Saturdays and Sundays, 4–6 pm, local Pai time. Games go ahead when enough people turn up. Come alone or bring a friend, and message us before travelling to check the day’s plans. Other leads include volleyball advertised inside organized event packages, explained below.
You have arrived in Pai alone. You would like to meet people. Ideally, the introduction would involve something other than announcing your entire travel route while holding a smoothie.
Volleyball provides an alternative: learn a name, attempt a pass and discover which member of the group says “mine!” only after the ball has landed.
Research reviewed: 19 October 2026. This is a court-and-game finder, not a league calendar. Oasis Tiki Bar’s court information comes directly from its owner; other leads are labelled by the evidence available. For more ways to meet people, read our solo traveller’s guide to Pai.

Oasis Tiki Bar: an existing court in Tha Pai
Our owner confirmed on 19 October 2026 that the volleyball setup was built about six months earlier. Now we are inviting more people to use it for relaxed weekend games.
Saturday and Sunday, 4–6 pm · free to play · games depend on turnout. All times are local to Pai, Thailand (Asia/Bangkok). You do not need to arrive with a full team. Come alone or with friends and see whether enough players gather for a game.
Message us before travelling, especially if you are arriving alone. Tell us your date and approximate group size, and ask about expected players, equipment and weather. If too few people come, a match may not happen. Drinks and transport are separate; free play does not include either.
Oasis Tiki Bar is in Tha Pai village, outside the central Walking Street cluster. Ask for current directions and arrange the journey separately. You do not need to make an accommodation enquiry just to ask about volleyball or visiting the bar.
Ask about a game: WhatsApp Oasis Tiki Bar · Call +66 84 058 8096 · Oasis Tiki Bar Facebook · Visit details.
We would like the court to become a reason to meet people, rather than a place where a net enjoys a very long solo retreat. If you have been waiting for a friend to agree to an activity, consider this your permission to arrive before the friend has been found.
Jungle Tubing: volleyball inside an organized event
The Jungle Tubing operator’s website includes volleyball in its advertised activities. Its ticket description also mentions games at Jungle Bar and Tube Camp.
Those descriptions concern a paid organized outing. They do not establish that you can walk into either location for a free game, hire a court independently or find a team waiting every afternoon.
The operator’s homepage currently announces a 30 October 2026 return from seasonal hiatus; an indexed ticket description still refers more generally to November. Confirm the latest operating date and ask whether volleyball will actually be offered on your chosen trip. The Revolution Hostel Pai event links provide another route to current organizer information.
If volleyball is your main reason to go, say so before paying. A large party with an optional ball game is a different afternoon from a court session with friends. Ask how much playing time you can reasonably expect.
Tipsy Tubing: ask about the River Chillax game
The Pai Tipsy Tubing activity description on Expedia, supplied by Pai Authentic Travel, advertises volleyball among the activities at River Chillax Bar, one stop in its tubing package.
Check the operator’s own website and ask whether that activity is offered now, what your ticket includes and whether independent visitors are permitted. Our comparison of the two tubing operators explains why the similar names should not be treated as one booking.
You should not need to accidentally book a river excursion simply because you wanted to serve a ball over a net.
Old listings are leads, not a team sheet
The Beachclub Pai @ waterpark directory listing includes beach volleyball as a category, but currently displays temporarily closed. Its listed Facebook page is a contact lead for checking status, rather than proof it has reopened.
Older hostel descriptions also mention volleyball. A lovely example is Meaghan D’s March 2018 review of Pai Circus Hostel, recording a solo stay in February 2018 and mentioning pool volleyball among the social activities. Read the dated review.
That is an individual memory of pool volleyball, not confirmation of a land court or a game there today. It does capture the appeal: you can arrive solo and spend part of the day doing something playful with other people. Ideally, the ball stays in play for longer than the introductions.
Arriving alone: the message that helps find a game
Copy this when making your own enquiry:
Hi! I’m in Pai on [date] and would love to play volleyball. I’m coming alone / with [number] people. Is there a social game I can join? What time, level and price, and are a net and ball available? Please send the current entrance directions too.
Ask whether the game welcomes beginners and whether players rotate. “Mixed ability” should mean everyone gets to participate, rather than one person conducting a lengthy demonstration of their school sporting career.
For an informal group, agree the rules before starting, introduce new arrivals and share playing time. The simplest successful session ends with people knowing more names than they knew at the beginning. The score can survive being slightly less historic.
Before you head over
Confirm the surface and suitable footwear, bring drinking water and ask about weather-related changes. Check how you will get back, particularly from countryside venues or package-event sites. If your evening includes drinks, arrange transport accordingly.
A court is a good start. A confirmed game is better. A group that can laugh when someone serves directly into the net may be the best holiday souvenir available without checking an extra bag.
Oasis Tiki Bar publishes this guide and includes its own court transparently. The cover is imagined artwork, not a photograph or specification of the Oasis Tiki Bar court. Operator advertising and historical reviews do not establish today’s access, facilities or player numbers.
Another playful outing to consider is Bamboo Mini Golf and Paidisc disc golf. The guide includes the external venue’s direct contacts and attributed Google Maps stories; game bookings and transport are separate from Oasis Tiki Bar volleyball.
